| A Year Without Stability |

"Being middle class doesn't mean much it just means your one step above the poverty line because your stability and a false sense of security comes from your job. I can identify with this idea because I am a product of it, but it is my belief that situation's centered around this idea are only temporary. You can never let your circumstances determine your destiny, who you are meant to be and what you are suppose to accomplish. Personally I feel that I am in between a rock and a bolder but I will never feel sorry for myself because the situation could be a lot worse. Instead I am grateful for all the necessities that I do have. I will continue to walk by faith, keeping my head to the sky, and maintaining a positive attitude so that I am setting a good example for all the young aspiring children that may look up to me." This excerpt came from my sports journal. I wrote this after a year of disappointment, heartache, and exertion. This passage encouraged me to stay strong in the mist of all of my trials and tribulations not to protect my image but to be an example for all the other students and children that experience hardships and may not have a personal role model to look up to. I used my company as an outlet for the shortcomings I experienced this year and as a result my business received tons of recognition for different accomplishments. I use this excerpt as a reminder that I would rather work for my self and offer a different kind of employment to others than to be employed under a leader who demands a lot from the employees but offers little recognition or no benefits. It is my dream to inspire people to work for themselves and help children to find their passion and turn it into to a venture that will provide for their lifestyle. This is what NFTE did for me and personally I would like to pass this mission on. |
